Stephen Ministry is . . .

a confidential ministry in which one person reaches out to another in times of

loneliness;
depression;
becoming new parents;
being ill or hospitalized;
adjusting to a move;
going through a time of grief or crisis;
experiencing broken relationships;
working through some problem or concern;

. . . to name just a few of the possible situations.

Stephen Ministers are committed Christian people who . . .

receive 50 hours of initial training in caring ministry skills;
receive continuing education and supervision throughout their years of service;
visit their care receiver regularly and dependably to provide Christian support and care.
