Stephen Ministry

God Cares . . . We Care

Stephen Ministry is . . .

a confidential ministry in which one person reaches out to another in times of

  • loneliness;
  • depression;
  • becoming new parents;
  • being ill or hospitalized;
  • adjusting to a move;
  • going through a time of grief or crisis;
  • experiencing broken relationships;
  • working through some problem or concern;

. . . to name just a few of the possible situations.

Stephen Ministers are committed Christian people who . . .

  • receive 50 hours of initial training in caring ministry skills;
  • receive continuing education and supervision throughout their years of service;
  • visit their care receiver regularly and dependably to provide Christian support and care.

In the past year, many of our members have been helped through this confidential ministry of Christian caregiving. If you know a member who might benefit from the support of a caring, Christian friend, contact Adrian Doll at 419-668-1923.

(All referrals will be treated confidentially.)

Please pray for this ministry of our congregation. God cares . . . we care.
